Where you’ll see this
Website Hosting Plan Details → Cancel (icon/button) opens the Cancel Hosting Plan dialog.
You’ll see:
- Plan name (e.g., Essential Web Starter)
- A Reason dropdown
- An Additional Comments box
- Cancel and Confirm Termination buttons (Confirm activates after you choose a reason)

Before you cancel: easy alternatives
Sometimes cancellation isn’t necessary. Consider these options first:

Need migration or domain transfer? We’ll help
If you’re moving away, we’ll make it smooth:
- Full site export: We’ll help capture files, database, and settings.
- Domain transfer: We’ll guide you through unlocking, codes, and timing.
- Zero-panic checklist: DNS changes, SSL, redirects—done the right way.
- Timing advice: Minimize downtime; pick a low-traffic window.
Mention “Migration help” or “Domain transfer” in Additional Comments and we’ll reach out with next steps.
What happens after you submit
- You’ll receive an email confirmation that we’ve received your request.
- A support specialist may contact you to offer a fix or help with backups/migration if you asked.
- The plan will be scheduled for cancellation per your billing policy (end-of-term or immediate).
– If you need immediate termination, tell us in the comments.
– If you want the site to stay live until the end of your paid period, say “cancel at term end.”
ℹ️ Domains & email are separate services. Canceling hosting does not automatically cancel domains or mail. Tell us what you want to keep vs. transfer.

Billing notes (plain English)
- End-of-term cancellations typically stay active until your current period ends.
- Immediate cancellations may stop the site right away.
- Refunds, proration, and data retention follow your plan’s Terms & Conditions.
If anything is unclear, we’ll explain your exact situation in writing.
FAQs
Can I undo a cancellation?
Usually yes—until the termination is finalized. Contact Support ASAP.
Will my website go offline immediately?
Only if you request immediate termination. Otherwise it stays live until end-of-term.
Do I have to transfer my domain?
No. You can keep your domain with CloudMySite (even if you host elsewhere) or transfer it—your choice.
Can you help me improve performance instead?
Absolutely. Many issues are fixable with image optimization, caching, and plugin cleanup. Say “performance help” in your comments.
