Configuring and Deploying Your VPS

The VPS Configuration Process​

Follow these steps to tailor your VPS instance perfectly to your needs.

1. Choose Your Region​

Select a global data center location where your server will be physically located. To ensure the lowest possible latency and fastest response times, we recommend choosing the region closest to your primary audience or user base.

2. Select Your Operating System (OS)​

You have the freedom to choose from a wide range of popular operating systems. This includes various distributions of Linux (like Ubuntu, CentOS, Debian) and multiple versions of Windows Server. You can reinstall or switch your OS at any time from your dashboard.

3. Configure Your Resources​

This is where you define the power of your server.

  • Memory (RAM): RAM is crucial for running applications smoothly, especially databases and dynamic websites. Choose a higher amount for memory-intensive tasks like large e-commerce stores or in-memory caching.
  • CPU (Cores): The CPU is the brain of your server. More CPU cores allow your server to handle more tasks simultaneously. This is critical for high-traffic websites, application servers, and video encoding.
  • Disk Size (Storage): This is the amount of space you have to store your website files, applications, databases, and user data. All our storage is powered by high-speed SSDs for rapid data access.

4. Select Your Instance Type​

We offer different instance types optimized for specific workloads:

  • General Purpose: A balanced mix of CPU and RAM, perfect for web hosting and most standard applications.
  • Compute Optimized: More CPU power relative to RAM, ideal for CPU-intensive tasks like batch processing or game servers.
  • Memory Optimized: More RAM relative to CPU, designed for large databases, analytics platforms, and extensive caching.

5. Confirm and Deploy​

Once you have configured your server to your exact specifications, simply confirm your choices and proceed with payment. Our automated provisioning system will then get to work, and your custom VPS will be deployed and ready for you to access within minutes.
