Call Forwarding Not Working

Forwarding problems usually happen in the current phone provider account, not inside CloudMySite.

Confirm The Direction

Forward this:

Current business phone number -> AI number

Do not forward the AI number back to your current business phone number.

Test In Two Parts

  1. Call the AI number directly.
  2. Call your current business phone number.

If step 1 works but step 2 fails, your provider forwarding rule needs attention.

Common Provider Issues

Check for:

  • forwarding rule saved on the wrong user, extension, or line
  • after-hours rule overriding all-call forwarding
  • voicemail taking the call before forwarding
  • old forwarding destination
  • missing country code
  • provider does not allow forwarding to that destination
  • mobile phone forwarding disabled by plan settings

Remove And Recreate The Rule

If a provider dashboard looks correct but calls still do not forward, turn forwarding off, save, then create the forwarding rule again.

Contact The Right Support

Contact your phone provider if the AI number works directly but your current business phone number does not reach it. Contact CloudMySite if the AI number itself does not answer.
