AI Does Not Answer

Use this checklist when a call does not reach AI Receptionist.

First: Call The AI Number Directly

Call the AI number from a separate phone.

  • If the AI answers, the AI number works. The issue is likely forwarding from your current phone provider.
  • If the AI does not answer, continue with the setup checks below.

Check Setup Status

Confirm:

  • trial or plan is active
  • AI number is assigned
  • setup is not cancelled
  • setup has not been left in draft
  • test call was marked complete only after a real successful call

Check Voice And Greeting

If the call connects but sounds wrong, check:

  • receptionist name
  • greeting message
  • selected voice
  • fallback behavior
  • approved knowledge

Check Forwarding

If direct AI number calls work but current business number calls do not, log in to your phone provider and confirm the current business phone number forwards to the AI number.

When To Contact CloudMySite

Contact CloudMySite support if:

  • the AI number does not answer when called directly
  • the assigned AI number is missing
  • the setup shows active but calls fail
  • you see repeated call failures in the dashboard

Include the AI number, current business phone number, approximate call time, and caller number used for testing.
