Phone Number And Forwarding Setup
Phone forwarding is the step that connects your existing business number to AI Receptionist.
The Two Numbers

You manually forward the current business phone number to the AI number. CloudMySite cannot change forwarding settings inside your current phone provider account.
AI Number Preferences
Before starting the trial, choose:
- country, currently United States or Canada in the workspace setup
- number type, such as local or toll-free
- preferred area code or prefix
CloudMySite attempts to reserve a matching number when available. Exact availability can change until the trial starts and the number is claimed.
Forwarding Order
Use this order:
- Start the trial and reserve the AI number.
- Call the AI number directly to confirm the AI answers.
- Log in to your current phone provider.
- Enable call forwarding.
- Set the forwarding destination to the AI number.
- Call your current business phone number from another phone.
- Confirm the AI answers.
Important Warning
Do not forward the AI number back to your current business phone number. That can create a call loop where calls bounce between numbers.
