Business Profile Setup

The business profile tells AI Receptionist who it is answering for and how to describe your business. Start here before choosing the AI number or forwarding calls.

Required Details

Add:

  • business name
  • business type, such as salon, contractor, dental office, or retail store
  • current business phone number
  • notification email
  • regular business hours
  • business address or service area

The current business phone number is the number customers call today. This must be the real phone number you plan to forward to the AI number later.

Phone Number Format

Use international format whenever possible:

+1 972 555 1212

The setup form may remove spaces, dashes, and parentheses. That is normal. The important part is that the number starts with + and includes the country code.

Website And Service Area

If you have a website, add it so the setup can keep your business context organized. If you do not have a public storefront, use the service area field to explain where you work, such as:

  • Dallas and nearby suburbs
  • Broward County
  • within 25 miles of the shop
  • online appointments only

Notification Email

Use an email you check often. This is where call summaries, messages, or setup-related notifications may be sent depending on your plan and settings.

Best Practices

  • Use the same business name callers already recognize.
  • Do not enter placeholder data such as "test" or "demo" for a live setup.
  • Keep business hours clear and caller-friendly.
  • Update the profile when your phone number, hours, or service area changes.
