Import Knowledge From A Website
Website import can help you turn public business pages into AI Receptionist knowledge. It is useful when your website already contains services, hours, FAQs, pricing, policies, or location details.
How It Works
- Open Knowledge.
- Choose the Import tab.
- Enter the website URL.
- Click Scan website.
- Review the generated draft.
- Edit any incorrect or outdated wording.
- Select the sections the AI can use.
- Click Approve selected.
Drafts Are Not Used Until Approved
The AI does not use scanned website content automatically. Imported content stays in draft or review status until you approve it.
This protects callers from old website content, incomplete pages, or text that was meant for marketing rather than phone answers.

Best Practices
- Scan the most complete public page, not a short landing page.
- Review prices and policies carefully.

Some websites block scanning or hide content behind scripts. If scanning fails, paste the important text manually or upload a supported file.
