Forward Twilio Calls To AI Receptionist

Use this guide if your current business phone number is a Twilio number.

Twilio setups are more technical than most small business phone providers. If a developer manages your Twilio account, send them this page and the AI number.

Simple Studio Approach​

  1. Copy the AI number from CloudMySite.
  2. Call the AI number directly and confirm the AI answers.
  3. In Twilio Console, open the phone number customers call today.
  4. Create or edit a Twilio Studio Flow for incoming calls.
  5. Add a call forwarding step that sends the call to the AI number.
  6. Connect the Twilio phone number voice configuration to that Studio Flow.
  7. Save and publish.
  8. Call your Twilio number from another phone and confirm the AI answers.

TwiML Approach​

Advanced users can use TwiML with Dial to connect incoming calls to the AI number. Keep the forwarding destination as the AI number only. Do not route the AI number back to the Twilio number.
