Forward Google Voice Calls To AI Receptionist

Use this guide if your current business phone number is a Google Voice number.

Google Voice forwarding behavior depends on your plan, linked numbers, rules, and verification requirements. Test carefully before relying on it for live customer calls.

Setup Checklist​

  1. Copy your AI number from CloudMySite.
  2. Call the AI number directly to confirm it answers.
  3. Open Google Voice on a computer.
  4. Open Settings.
  5. Open Calls.
  6. Review forwarding numbers and custom call forwarding rules.
  7. Add or route calls to the AI number if Google Voice allows it for your account.
  8. Save changes.
  9. Call your Google Voice number from another phone.
  10. Confirm AI Receptionist answers.

Important Notes​

  • Google Voice may require verification before using a forwarding number.
  • Some Google Voice flows may screen calls or require an answer action.
  • If Google Voice cannot reliably forward to the AI number, use another business phone provider or port the number to a provider that supports direct forwarding.
